Here are some of her current favorite books:
"The Measure" drew me in immediately, and I couldn't put it down. I connected with all of the characters, worried about their outcome, and really felt their pain too. The end took me by surprise, and tears flowed. Somehow, the premise of this book reminded me of COVID .... perhaps how people reacted to their string? I'm still thinking about this book and how I would react to a short string or a long string.
I just finished reading an advance copy of this, and I really enjoyed it! An interesting historical fiction novel set in North Carolina, deep in the tobacco country.
I loved the first book so much! This one is pretty good, but I really fell in love with it because she has pictures in the back of the book of horseback librarians, women miners, women working in fire look-outs, and more. She also included a lovely note about her research, why she uses certain language, and more.
I love to fish, but I'm not great at catching. So, I read about other people catching fish and their obsession. This book has led me to watching countless tarpon fishing videos on youtube.com. Help me!
I picked up this book because I saw it was partially set in Oregon, and I loved the title. It certainly didn't take long to get invested in the each character and their outcome. So many delights and sorrows for some of the characters. I certainly had my favorites, and I worried so intensely for Malik, Laila, and so many others. Beautiful writing captured the essence of the scenery and character! Imagine my surprise and love for the final chapter ... and my heartbreak!
I'm a Southern gal from South Carolina, and I totally love the essays in here.
This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I love the alternating stories between the two main characters. Yes, it's a little sad, but there are some wonderful little connections/nuggets in the book. A good read!
This book comes out in 2022, and I can't wait for everyone to read it! A mystery within a mystery with so many twists that made me audibly gasp! Told from the perspective of the mistress and includes her backstory ... wow! Be sure to add this to your list!
Pre-order this right now! What a fun book to read! He's passionate about good food, cleaning, building deep friendships, and more. A great gift for the food lover in your life! Thanks to customer Becky S. for mentioning Tucci's TV show! So good!
I love this graphic novel series! It always includes a relatable learning moment. Plus, I love the cat and dog incorporated in the story at the beginning of each chapter. Just perfect!
One of our customers mentioned this book to me, and I'm so glad they did! A fast read that will leave you shaking your head in disbelief. It should be required reading for everyone in my opinion. The last chapter is incredible, and I loved learning about search and rescue.
I really enjoyed this book set in India. Don't be taken back by the list of characters in the front of the book or the glossary in the back .... you won't need it after a few chapters. The story was quite engaging, and now I need to go back and read "The Henna Artist!"
Wow. Every high school kiddo should read this book. In fact, everyone should read this book, and then do something from the list in the back to get involved! An incredible book!
I just finished an advance copy of this lovely memoir! The stories he tells about his childhood are engaging and pair well with his boatbuilding. My husband is a woodworker, and he loved that I was reading about table saws, epoxy, and hand planes! A good read, but keep tissues handy!
The recipe for Granny's Million Dollar Cake is so good! Makes a very moist and flavorful cake. Perfect for sharing with friends and family!
Everyone should read this book! It's not just a book for older people. Young people need to prep and be ready for a unexpected situation. How do you want to live your life? What matters the most as you age? This book invites readers to consider all kinds of possibilities. I bought this book for my parents and both of my brothers ... looking forward to the conversations after they read it.
This is the first fantasy novel I've EVER read. It's entertaining with many laugh out loud parts. I adore Chauncey. On page 306, there are several memorable lines I'll always love. Please buy it, and then let's chat about it!!

A perfect read for fishers, non-fishers, or natural history buffs! Set partly on the Deschutes River near the Warm Springs Reservation. As a fisher, I really enjoyed this book from the opening sentence. Makes me want to fish all summer long and soak in the surrounding nature.
Nerd out on this book about breathing and drive your partner crazy with the facts. Oh, that's just me! I thought this book was super interesting! It's one of those books you read a paragraph and then tell the person next to you what you just read.
Well, now I know what dopesick is and why you want to avoid having it. Such a terrible and terrifying account of drugs and the effects of them in communities and families. A good book!
